Nestled among the hills of Guerrero, Mexico, lies the enchanting silver-mining town of Taxco, renowned worldwide for its winding cobblestone streets, colonial architecture, silver mines and masterful silver craftsmanship.
Within Taxco, there is a community of artisans that carry on metal-smithing skills passed down through generations. It has been my pleasure to get to know a handful of these artisans over the past nine years and I am excited to share their talents with you. I design each piece of jewelry on paper and the artisans take each design and turn it into something tangible and beautiful. They work from their in-home workshops with basic tools that they have been using for generations.
The jewelry crafted in Taxco is more than mass production. Each piece is hand-cut, soldered, molded and polished to perfection. They take pride in their work and I (with your help) am happy to supplement their livelihood by continuing to work with them. They are grateful for the work and I hope you enjoy each piece that we have created for you!
