Alpaca is an alloy of copper, nickel, and zinc. It is also called Nickel Silver or German Silver. Alpaca Silver is malleable, yet durable and a nice silver-toned metal alternative to sterling silver. We typically use sterling silver in our jewelry products but like to use Alpaca for our home accessories.
What metal do you use for your earring wires and posts?
Our earring posts are made of sterling silver and our earwires are either sterling-silver or silver-plated. We do have a few brass products that may have brass earwire but it will be indicated in the product description.
